Ergonomic Products
University Risk Management provides the following information in order to guide departments in their search for ergonomic furniture and supplies. This list is by no means all-inclusive or guaranteed by URM. URM does not provide funds for, nor does it order for departments, ergonomic supplies or furniture.

Keyboard Trays & Installation:
Keyboard trays should be fully adjustable and include room for the mouse.
Corporate Express
Keyboard Tray Installers:
Please do not attempt to install your own keyboard tray. The following is a list of just some of the options that are available for keyboard tray installation.
Vendors:
Product vendors install their keyboard trays at an additional charge. You can discuss cost and expected date of installation by contacting them by phone or e-mail. Expect $40+ to install their keyboard trays, depending on circumstances.
Campus Contacts:
Facilities offices usually charge a more reasonable hourly rate than vendors, but installation may or may not be as timely as vendors. Having more than one tray installed per order may be more cost effective.

Denver: Send a work order request to Auraria Higher Education Center Facilities Management, or use their on-line request.
Health Sciences Center: Fill out the Facilities Operations Special Request on-line form.
Wrist Rests
Resting arms or wrists on a hard surface, including a hard wrist rest, can cut off circulation. Ideally, your wrists should be in a neutral position (wrists not bent up or down).
Chairs
A good ergonomic chair includes adjustments for height and chair back, has good comfortable lumbar support, and fits the user in length and width.
University Risk Management and Juniper Valley have identified three ergonomic chairs which are available in stock for quick delivery.

To see all of Juniper Valley's chairs, visit their website. Click on Seating and choose Task chairs. Be aware that chairs other than the models in stock listed above may take several weeks to deliver.

To try out a chair before purchasing, Juniper Valley showrooms are located at:
Denver: 4200 Garfield. Located just west of Colorado Blvd. and South of I-70. Open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Carries a variety of chairs in stock.
Boulder: Distrubtion Center-Property Services- Contact Robert Montez or Lance Jones at (303) 492-6524. No appointments required. 3300 Walnut Street, Boulder on 33rd Street and Arapahoe.
